iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal – Non-Dimensional Materials Only
Please note that this on-boarding method is applicable only for external suppliers who have subscribed to the Jaguar Land Rover Supplier Portal service package and the iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal sub-package in Covisint. The pre-requisite for applying for access in Covisint to both these packages is a valid Jaguar Land Rover vendor site code.
The steps below outline the key milestones in the supplier on-boarding process:
Initial On-Boarding Mail Sent
If you have an outstanding request for information and you are not registered for the sub-package iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal you will be sent an e-mail which provides instructions on what you need to do to register for access in Covisint.
Supplier Vendor Site Code Request Process
If your company does not have a valid Jaguar Land Rover vendor site code you will not be able to register for access in Covisint. To request a vendor site code (for the purposes of supplying product information only) you must supply the following information (as a minimum) to the appropriate Jaguar Land Rover contact person who is responsible for raising the in-house product request:
- Company Trade Name
- Company Trade Address (to include postal code and Country)
- Company Trade Contact Number (to include international code)
On receipt of this information a PLM Support Ticket will be raised on your behalf to progress this request with the JLR Vend Team. This process can take up to 5 working days. Once in receipt of your vendor site code you can then register for access to the service package Jaguar Land Rover Supplier Portal in Covisint first then when this is approved the sub-package iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal.
This depends on the supplier’s availability to go through the appropriate registration steps plus the length of time it takes a company CSA (Corporate Security Administrator) or JLR in-house administrator to approve the access request.
Global Supplier Integration (GSI) Team
The GSI team facilitates the on-boarding process by communicating and sending supplier details across departments according to the process, reports the supplier on-boarding progress back to the business and offers first-line help if issues with Covisint registration and sub-package requests arise.
Completing the Registration Process
Access is considered complete when suppliers can see their subscription to both the service package ‘Jaguar Land Rover Supplier Portal’ and the sub-package ‘iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal’ at the five digit vendor site code when they logon to Covisint and go to Administration Tools>My Profile>View My Service Packages.
However, BEFORE suppliers are able to logon to the sub-package iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal in Covisint, the Jaguar Land Rover Systems Administrator has to add the supplier Covisint (FSN-ID) into the in-house application database.
N.B. If this step hasn’t been completed by the Jaguar Land Rover Systems Administrator, suppliers will receive an error message or a login screen. If you see either of these please contact the PLM Support Helpdesk Tel: +44 (0) 2476 206137 and raise a ticket for the IPLMIPCA team.
What is the iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal?
This is a sub-package (application package) available under the Jaguar Land Rover Supplier Portal service package in Covisint. This sub-package replaces the old GMAP e1291 supplier portal sub-package Jaguar Land Rover used when they were part of Ford Motor Company.
The iPCA e1291 Supplier Submission Portal enables suppliers with a secure mechanism to provide Jaguar Land Rover with electronic Safety Data Sheets and composition declaration. This process supports the Jaguar Land Rover Materials Review Procedure (an in-house compliance check) relating to all non-dimensional products that are used on-site at Jaguar Land Rover.
